Find Where You Belong
September 16, 2020
Finding a way to get involved in school can be challenging. With so many clubs to choose from, who can decide? Finding your own niche allows you to be part of something that makes you happy and develop your personal growth. But what exactly is a niche? A niche is a comfortable place or position in a person’s life. Discovering a true niche is a way to motivate yourself and is also a way to focus on what you enjoy doing. If you have not yet discovered this niche, here are tips on how to do so.
Think about hobbies or any school related activities that you would be interested in participating in. Consider trying out something new if virtual school has you feeling a little separated from your friends. Find out if there are any clubs and Student Honor Societies that could benefit your life after high school. For instance, some organizations such as Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) or societies like Delta Scholars and Alpha Achievers are offered to foster academic excellence for members during and after high school.
Overall, discovering the position that is best fitted for you will be advantageous for your high school experience. Learning more about yourself, less stress, and building new friendships with students who also share the same interests as you are all just some of the benefits.
